An uninterruptible power supply or uninterruptible power source (UPS) is an electrical system that supplies power once the main power source fails. A UPS is mainly used to protect hardware such as computers, data centers, equipment or other electrical equipment where an unexpected power disruption could cause injuries, fatalities, serious business disruption or data loss. We have different Ups types with different power ratings.
Some of the power UPS are shortlisted. APC, Mecer, Mercury, Eaton, and others. The shortlisted types of Ups are further classified according to kilo-volt-ampere (kVA) where 1kVA = 1000VA. The higher the kilo volt ampere, the higher the ups power and so is the cost.
